The ATL 8IGH DAO, formerly the Atlanta Empire, are an American basketball team based in Atlanta, Georgia, and members in the minor professional The Basketball League (TBL).
History
On August 9, 2020, Evelyn Magley, CEO of The Basketball League (TBL), stated that Atlanta, Georgia, was approved as a basketball franchise for the upcoming 2021 season.The franchise will be part of a new Southeast Conference with the Gulf Coast Lions, Tampa Bay Titans, Raleigh Firebirds. .
On January 21, 2022, the block chain company 8IGH announced it would collaborate with The Basketball League (TBL) to form the 1st ever DAO basketball team. The initiative is spearheaded by Jordan Tate and Treyous Jarrells.
On January 22, 2022, TBL CEO Evelyn Magley, announced the project as TBL Forever.
