蒙泰在1900年11月1日成立，曾於1908年至1911年及1966年至1987年間在瑞士足球甲級聯賽作賽。俱樂部的主場館是特納雷球場（Stade de Tourbillon），可容納20,214人。
蒙泰的球衣顏色是紅色和白色，球隊的吉祥物是一頭山羊。
